Bells and Boxes
The souvenir production flourished, so other objects were produced, among them
bells and boxes. Brass bells were imported from Germany and then decorated by
painting landscapes on them. Today they are still offered for sale, with the
difference, that instead of landscapes alpine flower are painted on them.
Furthermore different forms of maple wood boxes were produce to store coins,
stamps, letters or jewellery. The boxes were also decorated with the
typical landscapes of the Bernese Oberland.
